Raemi took her first step today!!! She's been balancing while standing without holding on to anything for some time now, and often starts to pick up her foot to take a step but either loses her balance or changes her mind and decides to crawl. But today she lifted up her foot and took her first tiny baby step! Unfortunately, there was a toy in her way which she promptly tripped over so we didn't get to see whether or not she could take multiple steps. I'm really happy it was while Mike was home for lunch, though, so we both got to see her very first step!!! She took another step again a few minutes later, but she stepped backwards instead of forward, hehe.

In other news, her 2 front teeth are coming in! She must be having quite a bit of teething pain, because I gave her a nice cold teether fresh from the freezer and she actually lied down on the floor and just chewed on it.  Usually I cannot for the life of me get her to lie still, she wants to be constantly on the go. Poor babydoll.

Despite Raemi being fussy and not sleeping well, this week has been one of those where I've found myself really enjoying the wonderfulness of being a mom and just beaming with pride over how amazing my little Raemia is. I know it sounds weird, but sometimes I look at her and it still just doesn't even seem real that this sweet, charming, precious little girl is actually my baby.
